The Doll Ceremony
Three richly dressed women or girls eating and drinking, probably celebrating Hina Matsuri (Girl’s Day), as dolls sit in the background. Nishikawa Sukenobu produced few ichimai-e and a number of book illustrations. Most of Sukenobu works bear leitmotif of bijinga.
